No fluff downloads. Each one helps you see where your business depends on you, and what to do about it, before you ever book a call.
The businesses we work with don’t usually have a marketing problem they can point at. They have a Tuesday problem. The phone rings while somebody’s on a roof, the estimate sits in a truck for three days, and the customer books whoever called back first.
These four resources exist to make that visible. They’re the same diagnostics we run at the start of a paid engagement, written down so you can run them on yourself. Nothing here is a teaser for a longer PDF. You get the actual questions we ask and the actual scoring we use.
You don’t have to talk to us to use them. If you go through all four and decide to fix it yourself, that’s a fine outcome. We’d rather you fix it than sit on it for another year.
The full case for owner freedom through structure, and the system behind everything we install.
Get it → Self-assessmentA short diagnostic to surface exactly where work still routes through you.
Get it → GuideMap your business to the five points of control and see which one to fix first.
Get it → ScorecardScore your five points of control and spot which one is leaking first.
Get it →This is the long read on building a service business that runs on structure instead of running on you. It walks the five points every service business moves work through, Attract, Convert, Deliver, Retain and Grow, and shows what breaks at each one when the owner is the only thing connecting them.
It isn’t a software pitch. There’s no product tour and no feature list. It covers what a lead actually does between the first click and the paid invoice, where it stalls, and what has to exist for it to keep moving when you’re not looking at your phone.
Read this one first if you can’t name the problem yet. If you already can, skip to the assessment.
Questions about how work moves through your business on a normal week. Who answers the phone at 2pm. What happens to a lead that comes in Saturday morning. How long an estimate sits before it goes out. Who chases the invoice at day thirty.
There’s no trick to it and no score you can fail. The point is getting it written down. Most owners have never seen all of it on one page, and once it’s there the pattern usually shows up inside ten minutes.
Do it honestly and do it alone first. Then hand it to whoever runs your office and compare answers. The gap between those two versions is normally the most useful thing in the whole exercise.
A short guide to the five points of control and what good looks like at each one. Attract is how people find you. Convert is everything between first contact and signed work. Deliver is the job and the communication wrapped around it. Retain is what brings a customer back without you calling them. Grow is what you add once the other four hold.
Each point gets a plain description, the two or three things that usually break there, and the smallest fix that actually moves it. No maturity curve, no scoring theory. Just what to look at and in what order.
Most businesses are strong at one or two of these and holding the rest together by hand. That’s normal, and it’s also why growth starts feeling like more work instead of less.
The scoring version of the guide. You rate each of the five points on a short scale, and the sheet tells you which one to work on first and which one to leave alone for now.
Owners want to fix everything at once. That’s how a build ends up half-finished and looking done, which is worse than not starting, because nobody goes back to check a thing that appears finished. The scorecard exists to force one choice. Whatever scores lowest and touches revenue soonest is the thing you fix this quarter.
Run it now, then run it again in ninety days. The change between the two scores tells you more than the first one did.
Start with the whitepaper if you can’t name the problem. Start with the assessment if you can. The guide and the scorecard land better after you’ve done one of the first two, because they assume you already know roughly where work is piling up.
All four downloads run on the same five points of control. That’s why nothing in one contradicts anything in another. Short version below, and the full breakdown lives on the Service Business Operating System page.
Drop your email and we’ll send the pack. No spam, no drip-flood, just the tools.
No. Put in your email, the pack lands in your inbox, and that’s the end of the required interaction. If you want to talk after reading them, the button’s at the bottom of this page.
No, and that’s on purpose. The five points work the same whether you run a tire shop, a landscaping crew, or a remodeling company. The details change, the order doesn’t. Where the trade actually changes the answer, the resource says so.
About twenty minutes if you answer from memory, closer to forty if you go pull the real numbers instead of guessing. The forty-minute version is worth a lot more.
You get the resources. After that you’ll get a note when we publish something on Insights, a couple of times a month at most, and every one of them has an unsubscribe link that works. We don’t sell lists and we don’t hand your address to anybody.
Then book the review. Fifteen minutes, we go through your scorecard together, and you leave knowing what we’d do first and what it costs. If it’s not a fit we’ll tell you on the call instead of writing you a proposal.
